In A Whisper (Set Me Free, #2)
Diana Nixon
Published 2017
Format: Kindle

Goodreads: There are things that are so hard to say aloud. Especially when it comes to something that you never thought your heart was capable of feeling…
In Ashton Bright’s life, there is no place for feelings. A successful surgeon, he knows how to make hearts beat faster, yet his own heart is as cold as a scalpel. He doesn’t know how to do romance, and he knows even less about love.
The day Nicola Holt comes to work as Ashton’s assistant, everything he believed was right for him becomes wrong. For someone whose everyday job is saving lives, Ashton finds himself too weak to stand against Nicola’s charm.
But most of all, he hates that she makes him feel things – the things he once swore to never allow himself to be submerged in.
“I have spent my whole life searching for what I have found in you. I do not want to let it go...”

When Ashton Bright's worst nightmares come true he dedicates his life to becoming the best surgeon he can be and save as many lives as possible. With pin point focus and dedication to his work Dr Bright is able to push down all feelings of love that might unhinge him and cause old wounds to resurface . That is ... until Nicola Holt is new assistant walks in to his office, the man who saves other peoples hearts now has to fight to protect his own.... but can he do it or will he end up having to face his past?

I took some time out from blogging while I was moving house and waiting impatiently for my laptop to get sorted and when I finally got it back couldn't wait to start blogging again. I have always enjoyed Diana's books and thought it was the best book to read to do my first review.

As always I loved this book. I love to read a book where the characters are clearly described so you can see the scene play out in your mind, and this book does just that. You can almost see the tension and interaction between the characters. The storyline is exciting and full of action and excitement from the very beginning - there isn't a dull moment!

I loved both of the main characters in this book, Ashton portrayed the strong, brooding 'man in charge' character with the soft inside just waiting to be saved. While Nicola is the determined, bubbly , free spirited character. Basically a perfect counterpart for Ashton.

If you are looking for a book that is clear , gripping and exciting with a touch of romance then you will really enjoy this book! There is not an extra word in this book that isn't essentially to the storyline meaning you aren't reading pages of 'fill in' bits  every page builds to excitement and adds to the story.

I have read many of Diana's books and like the previous ones this one does not disappoint! 5*

I received and arc of the book for the blog tour and i have to say i was so excited after reading the other books in the series i couldn't wait!

Eileen Continues her quest to hunt down the Dragon brotherhood and destroy them and the spell that can be used to take all her power! she most use all she has to follow the clues that will lead her to the spell, but with her friends close at hand she is getting closer, but is everything as it seems? with the brotherhood moving in, mysterious people showing up, her friendship wavering and someone controlling her power will she defeat the brotherhood and destroy the spell to keep her power?

I love the other books in this series and let me tell you this one does not disappoint! from the very first page i was captivated! i read the book in one sit i could put it down! As with the other books in the series the plot lines moves fast and there were always tricks and turns you didn't see coming. I love how Diana can twist the story so everything you thought or predicted would happen ends up to be wrong and you are left going 'my god did that just happen' there is never a dull moment and you are always kept guessing. the story is full of happy, sad, heart warming, Adrenalin filling and exciting moments! It seems that whenever i think the story can't get better Diana out does herself, every book just gets better and better!

As in the other books i loved Eileen, i love how she is a strong lead female, in this book i think you do see more strength from her but also a massive vulnerable moment. i have to say at some points i wanted to slap her and make her realise what she was doing and risking! I can understand that she wanted to do everything on her own and not risk her friends, but there was no way that they were going to let her do it alone so in some cases she put her friends in danger by making stupid decisions, on the other hand i can see why she done it. by they end of the book though i think she started to realise that she needed help and she didn't have to do it alone! As always Christian was his normal swoonworthy loving self and i still adore him! Even was his normal cocky self but again i still love him!
one thing though...... the end!!! why!! what a cliffhanger i swear i nearly had a heart attack!!! i cant wait for the next one i need it now!! i will definitely be on edge!!
an amazing amazing  book! Diana is my favourite other and once again she as had me swooning wanting to cry and have a panic attack all in one book!

Well it is the 8th of December and my 8th review of the month and today it is the novella for the Love Lines series From Scratch.

From Scratch ( Love Lines # 2.5)

 Published 2013 by Createspace

Goodreads:  Our lives are a cascade of events that pass faster than we would like them to. Time changes everything. Our habits, our views, our circle of friends. But there is one thing that remains the same over the years.
Our memories.
Through them we cherish the most unforgettable moments of our history. And they also retain some things that can't be forgotten….
But one day you realize that yesterday should be left in the past. Because tomorrow your new life begins, and you go back to the drawing board.
A love story of Evan Murray and Tara Mackenzie.
A story that should last forever….
But no one knows when forever ends…
.

Well today i was jumping up and down like a kid in a candy store! i have been dying for this book since i read songs of the wind! And when i checked my emails today to find Diana had sent me a copy i screamed and bounced up and down! Diana in my eyes is one of the best fantasy authors and i love this series! i had high hopes for the book after reading the other 2 in the series and boy i was not disappointed i read the book in one sit occasionally looking up to mumble something when people spoke to me but that's all!

our  memories are like a kaleidoscope of images that flash before are eyes reminding us of the bad and the good, the sad the happy, love and hate and as we change and as time goes by we add more memories,  we treasure those that brought us joy and hide from those that don't.  this is what Evan finds himself doing on Christmas eve, lost in his thoughts of his parents death and lost love, we follow Evan as he looks back in his past and tries to over come the things that haunt him and look forward in to the future!

Once again Diana has given us another heart warming and breaking, enchanting story. I liked this book especially for the fact that it is written from Evans point of view and instead of been packed with twists and turns is packed with pure emotion. At moments it is so happy as you follow Evan as he falls in love some bits are heart breaking as he loses his heart! You see a totally different side to Evan that you only saw glimpses of in the previous book, you see a side that is hurt and upset not his normal charming self. but i tell you you will fall in love with him in this book!

I just loved it, i loved the writing, i loved the way you got to know Evan, i loved the parts of his past that you got to see and e especially loved the end!!
i can not wait for the next book they just keep getting better and better

All i can say is amazing 5*

I Couldn't wait to read this book after reading the first one! Then end of the last book ended with such a cliff hanger that i was chomping at the bit to get the second one!

When Christian is kidnapped by Eric Eileen will do anything to get him back! With the Help from friends and her father she sets out to learn more about the world of magic dreams. She meets a new friend who's aids them in there quest for knowledge.  But this was never going to be an easy road! with truths been told, secrets been keep and friends becoming enemies the amount of people she can trust is running out! can they make it in to the dream world to save christian? or will he be lost forever?

Loooooooved it! I had my figures crossed for this book because i loved the first one and i had such high expectations and i was not disappointed! even doing the bit above to sum up the storyline was difficult because i just couldn't do it justice! The way Diana intricates the plot is amazing every time you thing you guess what is going to happen the rug is pulled out from underneath you, your constantly guess and when i new pieces of information does fall in to place you cant help but go oh my god! the storyline is just amazing and beautifully written! its as if your right there! I fell in love with the characters even more in this book after everything they have to go through! i literally can not wait for the next one!

I loved Evan in this book! you see more of that charming side of him but also a sorrowful and more vulnerable side! I loved Eileen to simply for the fact she makes me laugh so much with the things she says and the way she grumbles and threatened Evan! I also enjoyed the new characters that were introduced! The friendships that were formed and the love the characters had for each other was heart warming!

I would recommend this book to anyone its one of if not the best fantasy series i've read!

Louise was one of my favourite books when I read it. So for day 5 I can't think of a better book.

Louise

(Book 1)

Diana Nixon

It doesn’t hurt to dream, unless you know your dreams will never come true

Since childhood, Louise Woods has wanted to become a dancer. The day she arrives at Le Papillon – a private cabaret club where men come to enjoy the beauty of women dancing, her life completely changes. Louise lives in the club and the rules of living and working there cannot be ignored or broken. Either you do your best to please the clients, or you are out. No flirting, no secret affairs, just dancing.
During her first public show, Louise meets a stranger who pays for the privilege to have her privately dance for him. He won't let her see his face, he won't even introduce himself, but he will make an offer that she won’t be able to refuse. He won’t make any hollow promises, but he will make her believe she is special…  “I hate following the rules,” he’ll say, “but I do love breaking them.”  Will she dare to risk losing everything she has, just to make the darkest of the stranger’s fantasies come true? Once the decision is made, there will be no way back…
I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book the cover just made me want to read it so much more.

Louise has known nothing but survival and the inside of an orphanage her whole life... but one day that all changes when she is finally allowed out of her prison. unfortunately for her it is to find her new definition of hell. Forced to work as a dancer in a club Louise must play by a new set of rules where the price of disobedience is even higher. One day a stranger wants her to play by a whole new set of rules that can rather set her free from the club or destroy all that she has been working towards.

I loved the story behind this book a poor girl abandoned at birth forced to survive on her own in a mean world never really knowing freedom to finally get a little taste of it. As always with Diana's book i saw bits of it coming and thought " right i know what is going to happen" but as always there is little tricks and turns that you were not expecting.... in this case i was not expecting the whole last 3 chapters, i could not believe the end. There was parts brought in to the story that you would never expect. The book was brilliantly written and i found myself really getting involved with the characters.

I loved Louise as a character. She was a hard , tough female lead with just the right about of vulnerability. You really find yourself getting engrossed in her story. As for Will you cant help but love him. I think the story provides the perfect amount of danger and forbidden love.

Brilliant , Exciting , the perfect forbidden love with a fantastic twist

Day 4 and another review, this time its the first book in the Heavens Trilogy The Souls of the Rain. Its another book I love and another 5 * review

The Souls of the Rain (Heavens Trilogy #1)
Diana Nixon
Published: first published December 23rd 2013
Format:Kindle
Pages:245

Goodreads:

The secrets of the heavens had always been carefully guarded. Until one day when the angels realized that what they used to believe in was nothing but a cruel game between heaven and hell.

And Claire’s life is a part of that game too….
She is a guardian angel. She always thought that her existence was perfect. But perfection is a very relative term, and no one is protected from making mistakes.
Everything changes the moment Claire gets a new assignment. Guarding humans has never been easy, and this time won’t be an exception.
Alan Rosenford is a spoilt party-boy, whose life is a hurricane of risk and adrenaline rush. His soul is damaged, his heart is bleeding, and there are so many things he prefers to keep private….
The words they have never said before ….
The sins they have never committed….
How much does forgiveness of the heavens cost?
Or maybe even the heavens make mistakes?..

I love all of Diana's books so i couldn't wait to read this one. I had high expectations for this book because of how amazing Diana's bother books are and this book was far beyond my expectations.

Claire is a guardian angle and not just any guardian angle but one of the best! saving the lives of humans from demons for  hundreds of year and her new assignment a car racing , alcohol drinking , smoking party boy fueled by adrenaline risk taking. But Claire's life starts to get a little crazy when Alan can see her in her true form. When secrets about the heavens battle with hell start to emerge Clair is confused about who she can Trust, with a secretive, sly assistant around her, a fallen angel helping her, her powers changing and her feelings for Alan boarding the forbidden line  Claire's life is in turmoil!  with secrets about her past coming out will she be able to save herself from hell and stay in the heavens or has hell got its mark on her?

What can i say but wow wow wow! I was not expecting that. This was the first book i have Read about Angels and i loved it! As always Diana as spun a magic story of suspense, mystery and love. The story was amazing it was like nothing i have ever read! The plot was exceptional, normally i can guess the plot of a book but with this book you are constantly guessing you are given little bits of information like clues along the way but they don't make sense until the end , i was sat for the who book not knowing who to trust everyone seemed to have there secrets and motives, you are just hanging on  the edge of you seat the whole time not knowing what is going to happen. its like a story of forbidden fruit! you are hoping the characters will end up together and trying to find ways to bend the rules but no that the situation is hopeless and i think that entices you in even more. In true Diana fashion the ending is a massive cliff hanger i was sat just going ' no! you cant leave it like that' i can not wait for the next book so i can see what happens next! Diana is my favourite author and i love all of the books she has written but i can not decided if this has been my favourite book yet.

I loved all the characters in the book. Claire is an amazing female lead, she is strong, brave and witty. everything you would want from a main character . I like how throughout the book you can see her life changing and the emotions that go along with it, including the vulnerability.
Alan is an amazing character, i love how you see the harder side of him at first but see him come out of his shell the longer he spends with Claire, i enjoyed watching there relationship start to play out. Nolan was an amazing character he had me laughing the whole way through the book.

Amazing, mystifying, suspense and  Magic! A story of Love worth fighting heaven and hell for! A true masterpiece! I cant praise it enough!
5*
Keep reading tomorrow for Louise
