Goodreads: No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger... and they know it.

I could not wait to get my hands on this book! i stalked the postman for a solid week waiting for it to come! Even then i was allowed to see the front cover and that was it Santa snatched it our my hands to put away for Christmas!  but my god! when i finally got my hands on i screamed! then stared at the cover for a lengthy period of time.... am sure no one could blame me for that! but ......wow... that's all i can say!

Katy and Daemon  must work together with some old friends to save lives and find out the true! but with lies, blackmail and some shocking truths coming to light who can they really trust! I love the story in the book! i was hanging on the end of my seat! Once again Jennifer has captured us in a story that is exciting, thrilling, nerve racking, heart breaking, sexy and heart warming! I have to admit that by the end my emotions were just about shot! i cried so much at the end i sat for a moment going no....no that really just didn't happen.....did it? No! it cant how can you do that NO! get tissues! lots of them! i loved Obsidian, the onyx was even better and opal is the better than them all!

If you missed daemon then do not fear he is even more sexy and swoonworthy in opal! i swear he is so romantic! i actually gushed! you will grin like an idiot to yourself when you read it! He is strong, smart and even more witty and macho! but... you do see a soft and vulnerable side of daemon along with A LOT of rage! but in the way we have grown to love! Katy is just as funny and kick ass in opal as in the other books! and you get to meet Dawson again which is just the cherry on the cake!

Its amazing! the end is a cliff hanger! and its has you biting your nails! what more do you want! hot guys, action, romance!  if you haven't read it get.... what you waiting for.. go ....now! Daemon is not a patient man!

Jacqueline goes from never seeing Lucas before to him being ever where she goes. but with a soul crushing break up and a lot of work to catch up on she tries to ignore the feelings blossoming in her stomach........tries With unexpected circumstances trying to break them apart, guilt and tragedy threatening to consume them will they make it out of the dark ?

I didn't no what to expect when i got this book,i i got a sample of it for my kindle simply for the fact i liked the front cover and it looked like a book i would enjoy. After reading the sample i really wanted to read the book! I picked it up while my house was busy getting done and promised "one chapter while i wait" i didn't put it down! a few hours later i was still there reading away!
The book is brilliant, the story line is great and beyond what i expected, some parts made me laugh and other cry and i think the thing that made it better for me was the very real to life edge the book had. Althougth the love story between Jacqueline is somewhat funny watching her try and manipulate him and sad when you find out his past, i think the part of the story about rape sent a powerful message! i thought that in particular was very well done, it wasn't skirted over and was highlighted in a way that encouraged people to talk and seek help. I think the sensitive subject of attacks and rape was in contrast to the love story and made an emotional roller costar happen!

I loved Jacqueline even though i spent a lot of the book going you dare go back to your ex and my kindle is getting thrown! She was such a strong character and i liked that she wasn't all wussy! And i loved Lucas and i mean i actually swooned! from the moment he looked in her truck to the end page i loved him! he has such a masculine protective nature and i loved that but equally he is just so sweet and vulnerable!

seriously if you haven't read it yet do it.... now! I've just went out an bought it again on paperback!
Heart wrenching, addictive and beautiful!

Expected publication: April 9th 2013 by Spencer Hill Press

Goodreads:
Fate isn’t something to mess with… and now, neither is Alex.

Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex’s power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex’s connection to Seth isn’t the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole “an Apollyon can’t be killed” theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.

Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.

I havent long finished Elixir so when i got this book as part of an arc share group i can not wait to read it!!!!

From Scratch ( Love Lines # 2.5)
Diana Nixon
 Published 2013 by Createspace

Goodreads:  Our lives are a cascade of events that pass faster than we would like them to. Time changes everything. Our habits, our views, our circle of friends. But there is one thing that remains the same over the years.
Our memories.
Through them we cherish the most unforgettable moments of our history. And they also retain some things that can't be forgotten….
But one day you realize that yesterday should be left in the past. Because tomorrow your new life begins, and you go back to the drawing board.
A love story of Evan Murray and Tara Mackenzie.
A story that should last forever….
But no one knows when forever ends….

Well today i was jumping up and down like a kid in a candy store! i have been dying for this book since i read songs of the wind! And when i checked my emails today to find Diana had sent me a copy i screamed and bounced up and down! Diana in my eyes is one of the best fantasy authors and i love this series! i had high hopes for the book after reading the other 2 in the series and boy i was not disappointed i read the book in one sit occasionally looking up to mumble something when people spoke to me but that's all!

our  memories are like a kaleidoscope of images that flash before are eyes reminding us of the bad and the good, the sad the happy, love and hate and as we change and as time goes by we add more memories,  we treasure those that brought us joy and hide from those that don't.  this is what Evan finds himself doing on Christmas eve, lost in his thoughts of his parents death and lost love, we follow Evan as he looks back in his past and tries to over come the things that haunt him and look forward in to the future!

Once again Diana has given us another heart warming and breaking, enchanting story. I liked this book especially for the fact that it is written from Evans point of view and instead of been packed with twists and turns is packed with pure emotion. At moments it is so happy as you follow Evan as he falls in love some bits are heart breaking as he loses his heart! You see a totally different side to Evan that you only saw glimpses of in the previous book, you see a side that is hurt and upset not his normal charming self. but i tell you you will fall in love with him in this book!

I just loved it, i loved the writing, i loved the way you got to know Evan, i loved the parts of his past that you got to see and e especially loved the end!!
i can not wait for the next book they just keep getting better and better
All i can say is amazing 5*

 Dearly Beloved
Lia Habel
Published September 25th 2012 by Del Rey

Goodreads:  Can the living coexist with the living dead?

That’s the question that has New Victorian society fiercely divided ever since the mysterious plague known as “The Laz” hit the city of New London and turned thousands into walking corpses. But while some of these zombies are mindless monsters, hungry for human flesh, others can still think, speak, reason, and control their ravenous new appetites.

Just ask Nora Dearly, the young lady of means who was nearly kidnapped by a band of sinister zombies but valiantly rescued by a dashing young man . . . of the dead variety.

Nora and her savior, the young zombie soldier Bram Griswold, fell hopelessly in love. But others feel only fear and loathing for the reanimated dead. Now, as tensions grow between pro- and anti-zombie factions, battle lines are being drawn in the streets. And though Bram is no longer in the New Victorian army, he and his ex-commando zombie comrades are determined to help keep the peace. That means taking a dangerous stand between The Changed, a radical group of sentient zombies fighting for survival, and The Murder, a masked squad of urban guerrillas hellbent on destroying the living dead. But zombies aren’t the only ones in danger: Their living allies are also in The Murder’s crosshairs, and for one vengeful zealot, Nora Dearly is the number one target.

As paranoia, prejudice, and terrorist attacks threaten to plunge the city into full-scale war, Nora’s scientist father and his team continue their desperate race to unlock the secrets of “The Laz” and find a cure. But their efforts may be doomed when a mysterious zombie appears bearing an entirely new strain of the virus—and the nation of New Victoria braces for a new wave of the apocalypse.

Goodreads:  Aiden St. Delphi will do anything to save Alex.
Even if it means doing the one thing he will never forgive himself for.
Even if it means making war against the gods.

I preordered with book so my brother could get it for me for christmas and i ended up stalking the post man for a week! but finally i got to read it! and it was worth the wait! After reading the end of Deity i was shocked and needed some soothing and this book provided me with just that.... there is hope yet!

Aiden made a promise to Alex that he would never let her lose who she is when she awakens! how far will her go to keep that promise? fight friends? emeies ? the gods!? Aiden will do anything to bring alex back to the real her but can he do the one thing he will forever regret and the one thing he knew alex feared to save her? but if her does not act soon she could be lost forever!

Deity ( Covenant #3)
Jennifer L. Armentrout
Published November 6th 2012 by Spencer Hill Press

Goodreads:  "History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time. "

Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday--to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden.

If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training"--which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.

But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed.

Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...

I knew this book was going to be awesome from the minute i snatched it out the post mans hands and rans screaming in to the house! i've read all of the other covenant books and loved them so i couldn't wait to read this one! I was so not disappointed! it was even better than i expected! after finishing it i started reading opal and was still sat going wow! i love Aidan! which says something because the lux series was one of my favourites!

Alex is quickly approaching her 18th birthday and with it the day she will awaken! with feelings of dread filling her she worries about the effect this will have on her, will she still be herself or will the bond with seth consume her? With her feelings for aiden eating at her and her bond with seth getting tigher with every touch what can she do? and with the marks of the apollyon appearing quicker than expected her time is running out! With unforgiveable secrets, unexpected friends and plans against her forming can alex make it to her birthday or will her world crumble apart?

After finishing this book i had to sit for a moment and go oh my gods! did that really just happen! once again jennifer told a story of mystery, enchantment , love, loss and a lot of ass kicking! the storylines was amazing i swear i giggled and i cried then laughed some more then a swear cried more! i would have to say this is the best book in the series! the twists and turns are so unexpected! Deity does answer alot of things from the other books but at the same time leaves just as many unanswered things for the next one! i was just speechless. i had to keep texing a friend going my gods this can not be happening! The end of the book is a total clif hanger you will be going "no! just ...no that cant happen" i would have tissues at the ready, its heart warming and breaking all at once!

I promise you will love Alex just as much in this book she is just as kick as and feisty as ever and Aiden is as beautiful and swoonworthy as ever! and if you don't want to kill Seth yet you will my book got thrown across the room!

Like the rest of the series Deity was amazing, heart breaking, warming and stopping all at once!

Loooooooved it! I had my figures crossed for this book because i loved the first one and i had such high expectations and i was not disappointed! even doing the bit above to sum up the storyline was difficult because i just couldn't do it justice! The way Diana intricates the plot is amazing every time you thing you guess what is going to happen the rug is pulled out from underneath you, your constantly guess and when i new pieces of information does fall in to place you cant help but go oh my god! the storyline is just amazing and beautifully written! its as if your right there! I fell in love with the characters even more in this book after everything they have to go through! i literally can not wait for the next one!

I loved Evan in this book! you see more of that charming side of him but also a sorrowful and more vulnerable side! I loved Eileen to simply for the fact she makes me laugh so much with the things she says and the way she grumbles and threatened Evan! I also enjoyed the new characters that were introduced! The friendships that were formed and the love the characters had for each other was heart warming!

I would recommend this book to anyone its one of if not the best fantasy series i've read!

And i am so excited to have done my first author interview with Diana!

Author Interview

Hey Diana! Thank you so much for doing this interview I am so excited to be doing my first author interview!

I absolutely loved Love lines and songs of the wind, the storyline is amazing and the characters are brilliant. So my first question would have to be where did you come up with the idea for the series?

-         When I started working on my first book the only thing I knew for sure was its title:) I knew it would be a series of books, but the details, the legends, the history of Dever and the old curses came to my mind later and every time I came up with a new twist to the story it gave me new ideas for the next book of the series. Even now I can’t say for sure what will be the end of the Love Lines story, as I keep creating new scenes in my mind that I hope they will turn into another good book:)  I guess I should say thanks to my imagination for all the great ideas for my novels. I try to make them unique and beautiful, magical and inventive. So only my readers can say if I succeed or not:)

I know everyone who reads the books will fall in love with the characters, who is your favourite character and why?

-
First I thought it would be Christian as he was supposed to be an ideal boyfriend that every girl would fall in love with, but the more I worked on Evan’s dialogs and his personality, the more I liked him. So now he’s my favourite character and I really enjoy writing about him. At the moment I’m working on his short story named From Scratch. It will be written from his POV and it will show us a different side of Evan, as it will be the first time when all the attention will be focused on him and his life. In Love Lines and Songs of the Wind we saw Evan as a good friend and a very strong man. But From Scratch will reveal his vulnerable side, something that he hides from everyone, including people he loves and spends most of his time with. I also like Evan for his unpredictability, his brilliant ideas, his sense of humour and all those positive emotions he radiates every day. Even when it feels like the world is crashing in front of his eyes:)

Some parts of the books made me laugh some made me sad, what was your favourite part of love lines and songs of the wind to write?

-
My favourite part of Love Lines was the Festival of Arts with its bright colours and all those spectacular performances the students showed. I also liked working on Eileen’s and Christian’s tattoos. It was a very special moment of the story and I wanted it to be very real, so that readers would see it clearly in their minds. I can’t choose my favourite part of Songs as every moment of this book was filled with so many different emotions that even writing the book felt like being inside my characters’ hearts, feeling everything they felt, from every smile to every single tear.

After leaving Songs of the wind on such a cliff hanger, can we expect the same action packed suspense in the next book?

-
There will be more adventures and mysteries in the next book. And I promise its last sentence will be more than just unexpected:) That’s all I can say for now, but in a few weeks I will announce the title of the third book of the Love Line series and give you a short description of what to expect from the sequel.

Before becoming an author you received a Master of Law degree, did you have any specific inspiration from favourite authors or family to become an author or was it something you’ve always wanted to do?

-
Writing a book was more like an impulse somewhere deep down in my heart I couldn’t resist:) Of course it was also inspired by the events of my life. Becoming a wife and a mother changed my life a lot and I can surely say that all those changes turned into the greatest inspiration I’d ever needed to create something new:)

Who would you say your favourite author was at the moment?

-
This question is always hard to answer, as there are so many authors I like, but I don’t have and I never had a favourite one.

And lastly what book are you currently reading?

-         The Wild Ones by M. Leighton. It’s a great love story I enjoy reading.

Thank you so much for answering my questions and I can’t wait to read you next book! =)
